午睡问题

今天才知道孔子说 朽木不可雕也，粪土之墙不可杇也，说的就是宰予昼寝！
记得高中上古典文学时，听老师说过这两句。就觉得骂人很有气势，竟不知原来是骂白天睡觉的...因为我就爱睡午觉啊！以前每每被小安用鄙夷的语气说“怎么可以在白天睡觉？” 我还理直气壮的反驳说“困了就应该睡，不应该喝咖啡！”
谁料竟有孔老夫子撑腰，气焰立刻矮了一节！

新瓶旧酒

明日边缘，新瓶装旧酒，不过看起来还是挺带感的！

某人今早说要开车去学校，因为比坐公交更快一些，吼吼，看来某人还是知道好歹的！

Adie's tonic pupil

today saw a pt with Adie's tonic pupil (hopefully that's what is!) -- first time on my own, 2nd time ever (1st time was in Martha Eliot Fall 2012)!

a 40 yo brownish male... healthy otherwise~
when i was about check his eyes with slit lamp starting with OD, his pupil was gigantic without constriction! what the hell?! scary!! lol~

iris colors

started the new job on 10th, and saw 10 pts that day~
worked for a week, on 17th, saw 17 pts... the rest of week, pts number fell in between~
- I heard it will be busier in August~

yesterday, saw my first pink eye pt, a pt with heavy deposits on CLs, and a happy lesbian couple;
today, saw my first Chinese-speaking pt, a diabetic couple with retinopathy, and several girls all wanted colored CLs!

makes me want to try gemstone green iris too!

CLARE

haven't been here for a long time -- almost forgot about it -- was so busy with exams and rotations!

7/10 was the first official day of my new job, a first 'real' full-time job in my 30yr-life!
1st day of work 10 pts: everything was perfect except my car was towed!
2nd day of work 15 pts: everything was perfect except I forgot my lunch box at home...
3rd day of work 16 pts: today -- saw a pt with CLARE (contact lens related acute red eye)!

looked kinda like this:

I wasn't sure what was the pathology at the moment... bact? fungal? viral? acanthamoeba?...
looked it up online and in notes after coming back home, and turned out may be less serious than I thought -- more inflammatory, less infectious...
Rxed ofloxacin ophth 0.3% qh OD.
hope the pt is feeling better now and will come back next Monday!!

roughly, 90% young healthy pts (10-60 yo), and ~10% with BV issues~
in general, my new job, so far so good~
